Meals on Wheels – Volunteers needed

VOLUNTEER – Drivers needed for the hours of 12.00 – 1.00pm
Kitchen Voulnteers needed for the hours of 9.00am – 12.00pm
Ballyroan Community and Youth Centre require Volunteer Drivers and Kitchen Volunteers for our meals on wheels which operates every week,Tuesday through to Friday. This service operates throughout the year excluding the 2 week Christmas holiday period.
We prepare an average of 65-70 meals per day. Which is over 12,000 meals on a yearly basis. We deliver freshly prepared meals for friends and neighbours who wish to continue to live independently at home. BCYC Meals on Wheels group take referrals from GP’s,Hospital Social Workers and the Public Health Nurses in Rathfarnham Health Clinic. Our catchment area is primarily around Ballyroan and Butterfield, We also make deliveries to areas in Templeogue Knocklyon,and Rathfarnham.
