Mass was celebrated on Pentecost Sunday, 27th May 2007, at which the Archbishop of Dublin, Rev Diarmuid Martin, presided.
A special prayer “Holy Spirit Prayer, Patron of our Parish” was written for the occasion by Fr. Breandan Leahy.
Another parishioner, Fr Derek Farrell composed some lovely music “Come Spirit Come” for the Mass. A photographic exhibition showing the history of the parish was also held to coincide with the week.
The mass was attended by parishioners, past and retired clergy, religious and school principals who have served in the parish, priests ordained from the parish, and other people who played a significant role in the history of the parish.
After the Mass, all were invited to a reception in the adjoining Parish Community Hall where there was an opportunity to meet with each other and enjoy the occasion.
